Preparing for Takeoff

Everyone warns you that college goes by quickly, but somehow, the end still sneaks up on us all. Adult life is coming fast - are you ready? Whether you start over in a new city, move back home, or stay where you are - life changes after college, and it can be overwhelming. Join us for a four-week look into some of the biggest areas of life you’ll be tackling: a job, finding a church, dealing with finances, and managing relationships.

Wherever you’re headed, we want to help you set yourself up for a life of faithfulness for the long term. It’s hard, but it’s easier together. If you're a junior or senior equivalent in college, join us Tuesday nights before Veritas as we dig into it all and prepare for takeoff!

A Better Story

Is it really worth it to follow Jesus in college? If you find yourself new or curious about your faith, join us for A Better Story. It’s a four-week, honest conversation about the life stage we find ourselves in and the story Jesus offers us. Is it really better? Can we really trust it? Join us on Wednesdays in April from 3-4pm in the back room of Shakespeare’s Downtown. Anyone is welcome. Register here for free so we know you’ll be there!

Guys Night

What does it mean to be a leader and a man of faith in college? Who better to ask than Mizzou legend and one of the most successful coaches in all of college football history? Not only is Gary Pinkel the winningest head coach in Missouri football history, but he was recently inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame for his success on and off the field. He produced first round draft picks, but also had a 95% graduation rate for seniors during his tenure. Sports fan or not, you have something to learn from a guy who spent 39 years turning college players into responsible and successful men. Join us for another Veritas Guys Night! We’ll hear from Pinkel, have an open Q&A about all things faith and football, then throw down with a big game of flag football.

Veritas Girls Hike

Spring is on its way, and we want to get outside to celebrate! We’re headed to Rock Bridge State Park for a hike with the girls. If you’re a fan of the great outdoors and meeting new friends, meet us in front of The Crossing (3615 Southland Dr.) at 3pm for the carpool! Dinner and dessert will be provided after at 1703 Sun Court.

Veritas One Read: Embodied

Our sexuality and gender play a big part in how we answer the question, “Who am I?” That’s why we want to discuss Preston Spinkle’s book Embodied. In it, Preston talks about all things faith, sexuality, and gender. Whether you’re able to read the book beforehand or not, this is a needed conversation you won’t want to miss! Join the discussion led by Crossing Pastor Kyle Richter.

Pizza and drinks provided. Get the book and sign up so we know how much food to buy.  

Veritas Greek Jamaica Trip

Veritas Greek students are heading back to Harmons, Jamaica in January 2024! We are so excited to partner once again with our friends from Won By One. If you're a college student involved in Greek life at Mizzou, we'd love for you to join us for an amazing week alongside the local Jamaican community by participating in various serving opportunities and building friendships with other Mizzou students. Come to an info session on April 4th (after Veritas at The Crossing at 9:30pm) or April 6th (Mizzou Rec Legends Room @ 6pm) in order to apply for the trip!
